Challenger Deep

Challenger Deep blog pages 200-End. At the end of this book Caden realizes that his mental illness is incurable, and yet this will affect him later in life he realizes he lost a year of his life due to his illness. Knowing this, he tries to put his illness behind him for good. He does this as the boat finally reaches the Mariana Trench. The mariana trench becomes very symbolic due to it is the deepest part of the world, and Caden is in a dark part of his life. But Caden overcomes this and breaks through all his problem with his illness and surfaces. He realizes how important life is and how important it is to develop and fight through certain issues.
Caden soon is back home and released from the boat to his mother, father, and sister. He rejoins school and his friends in everyday adventures and everyday normal activities. All while forgetting about his mental illness and living his life. The what seemed stupid boring trip to Caden became a life changing experience with many helpful people, such as Carlyle.
My personal opinion of this book was that it was very interesting, but confusing. As soon as I thought I realized the theme or message of the book many scenes popped up that made me think differently. Overall after getting past the troubles of finding the theme or message it is a very good book with a great purpose. I still highly disliked how the pages were set up with chapters so close to each other with the constant switching between home life and ship life.
