Blog #2: Witch and Wizard Pages 67-174

The book Witch and Wizard by James Patterson continues moving forward after Book One of the book. The next part of this book starts off with Wisty and Whit in a jail where their powers aren't supposed to work. Eventually, Wisty and Whit figure out that their powers actually do work in the prison. While in the prison Whit's girlfriend, Celia, appears. During this part Whit asks Celia what happened to her because she went missing before Wisty and Whit were taken. Eventually, Celia tells Whit that she was killed by the New Order. Later on in the book Celia helps Wisty and Whit get out of the prison they were being held in by taking them through the Shadowland. The Shadowland is where people go after they have died and it is very dangerous for someone who is alive to get lost in the Shadowland. This is because the Shadowland causes you to lose all of your senses. While travelling through the Shadowland in an effort to escape from prison Wisty and Whit are introduced to Sasha who is one of Celia's friends. At the end of this part of the book Sasha is successful in getting Wisty and Whit to Freeland.

This part of the book is critical to the plot of the book. One reason why this part is so important is because it introduces a new character, Sasha. This part of the book is also important because it introduces the Shadowland. It also introduces the concept of Curves, Narrows, and Straights. These terms are all terms used to describe different types of people. Finally, this part of the book is really important because it shows how Wisty and Whit's powers are growing. Overall I loved this part of the book because there was never a dull moment. Whenever I had to put the book down to do something else I never wanted to. In my next blog I will explain the rest of the book.
