Hunger Games pages 3-50.

The book i have selected is the hunger games. the book was written by Suzanne Collins. The books setting in the begging is a district and then as the book goes on it transitions to an arena where the people fight to the death as punishment.
So the main event that is taking place is Katniss (the main charter) is in the woods hunting and he friend Gale comes and brings her bread. they are trying to get nice food for the "hunger games" because its a tradition. they go home and get home and head to the hunger games and katniss's sister gets her name called but katniss volunteers. The district they are in has never has never volunteer. the boy gets called and she knows who it is and then they meet there trainer who is Mitch. the district last winier and once they meet him the get on a train and head to the games to get there clothes that they will wear to walk out and then they go to there rooms where they will be staying. Peeta (the other fighter) has to go and clean up Mitch who is dunk.
During this section of the book a lot happens. What I though was interesting was the meaning of the hunger games. The meaning and purpose of the hunger games was because of punishment in response to when the districts tried to rebel. Now the hunger games have a couple meanings. One is to remind the district of there past rebellion and make sure they don't try it again and to punish them for doing it.

  1. How long has the tradition of the Hunger Games been going on in the book?

  2. I like how you explain the meaning of the "hunger games" at the end of your blog, it helps me to understand more of what you explained earlier in the blog.
