Blog#2: One Of Us Is Lying Pages 104-213

This book continues as Bronwyn, Addy, Cooper, and Nate learn that someone had posted something on Simon’s app, before his death and it reveals secrets about each of them. These rumors reveal their secrets causing them to become suspects in Simon’s murder, and their secrets being know to the public, is not safe. Despite being told to stay away from each other, the 4 students continue to stay together. The next day, an anonymous post is made to a new blog, written by Simons killer, revealing more about Bronwyn, Addy, Cooper, and Nate. As there is a lot of chaos in school that day, the 4 students are called to the office where the principle offers them a chance to reveal what's going on in a “safe place”. None of them say anything and return back to class. When Bronwyn gets home that day, Bronwyn and her sister, Maeve, visit the public library. Maeve finds a way to hack into Simons old app through the public computer. She finds out that Simon’s username is connected to a series of strange posts. Later, a newspaper article states Bronwyn, Cooper, Addy, and Nate are “persons of interest” in the case. All four students try to protect themselves from being hurt by the news, although it does cause them to lose their other friends. Maeve and Bronwyn continue their research and find out that Simon used to hang out at meetings which supported gun violence. As investigators continue to find out the cause of Simon’s death, they see a comment on Simon's old post written by Bronwyn. This causes Bronwyn to come under investigation. As Nate and Bronwyn admit their intense feelings for one another, Cooper finds a male lover, and Addy ends up breaking up with her boyfriend, Jake. They break up with each other due to the secrets revealed about Addy, which stated that she was cheating on him. He is called down to the police station, where he meets his lawyer and investigator revealing that the police found a file which contains a post about Coopers sexuality. Cooper becomes a “person of interest” and it seems that the information was not posted to the public yet. However, before the secret leaks to the school, Cooper decides to tell his parents and the next day, Coopers secret leaks to the school. The only person who stands up for him is Nate.
This portion of the book contains a lot more action than the previous. It further introduces the characters. The character which I like the most is Bronwyn and her sister because they both make an effort to find out who the person is that is revealing all the secrets. The characters in this book have changed a lot from the beginning portion. The students are losing their friends and are left to protect each other from the news. Others are beginning to know more about their secrets and leaving them insecure. With their secrets being revealed and investigators looking through the case, each person becomes a "person of interest", and is further investigated.
