No Slam Dunk Pgs 1-51

The Book i am reading is called No slam Dunk by Mike Lupica.  The main character in the book is Wes Davies, Wes is 12 years old and he is in 7th grade.  Wes loves two things in life his family and basketball.  Wes plays for a elite travel team called Annapolis travel team.  His team is very good there is just one problem though one of his teammates Miguel Dinero wants to be the star of the team and is a selfish player because his dad wants him to be the best player on the court at all times so Dinero always is trying to be hero on the court which sometimes would cost there team from winning the game.  Thats not the only problem for Wes though his dad is a Navy seal who was fighting over in Afghanistan,  When his dad came back he dealt with major PTSD which then caused him to start drinking a lot.  So wes and his dad started to lose there relationship which Wes really struggled with.  In there first game they where down by 2 with a couple seconds left.  wes gets the ball and makes the game winning shot.  And dinero got so mad that he walked off the court.
