paper towns (blog 1)

The book that I am currently reading is Paper Towns by John Green. This is a book about teenagers and their small town in florida. The book takes place all around their town, but mostly at their school. The main character in this book is Quentin Jacobsen. Quentin lacks confidence and is not one of the popular kids, he is often called “Q”. His neighbor is margo, and she is very adventurous and outgoing. Quentins friends are Ben, radar, and Lacey. 

In the beginning part of this book, Q is at a normal day of school with his friends, and many characters get introduced. It discusses how prom is coming up and many are deciding who to ask. They also talk about each others love lives and the gossip going around the school. Later, Margo comes over to Q’s house in the middle or the night. Margo asks Q if he will help her do a few things. When Q says yes, they steal his moms car and start driving. Margo’s parents are very strict, therefore they have to be very sneaky. When they both get in the car, margo has a list of things that they are going to do. Q goes along with everything on this list because he is in love with her. This part is very significant and i chose this because it illustrates how strong Q’s feelings are for her and that he will do anything for her. 

So far, I really enjoy this book and I am very glad I chose it. I like this because I can relate to it because it is people who are around my age. I also enjoy this book because it is very interesting. Many things are going on and they go on many adventures. The beginning portion of the book is very intriguing and I would recommend this book so far.
